Sky Bet Championship – Everything You Need to Know
What Is the Sky Bet Championship?
The Sky Bet Championship is the flagship betting competition that runs throughout the football season in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It pits a range of sports and casino games against each other, rewarding players with points for every wager placed. The more you bet – whether on the Premier League, Gaelic football or a live casino spin – the higher you climb on the leaderboard.
For Irish punters the championship offers a mix of traditional sportsbook action and a growing live casino portfolio. Because the competition is tied to Sky Bet’s own platform, all activity is recorded automatically, meaning you never have to log a separate scorecard. The prize pool is refreshed each month, with cash bonuses, free bets and even ticketed events for the top finishers.
How to Register and Get Started
Getting onto the Sky Bet Championship is a straightforward three‑step process: registration, verification and the first deposit. Click the “Register” button on the home page, fill in your name, address and a valid Irish mobile number, then set a secure password. The form asks for a proof of age – a driver’s licence or passport – which you’ll upload during the KYC (Know Your Customer) stage.
Verification usually clears within a few hours, but during busy periods it can take up to 24 hours. Once approved, you’ll be greeted with a welcome bonus that can be used straight away on the championship games. Remember to read the terms, especially the wagering requirement attached to the bonus, before you start placing bets.
Bonus Offers and Wagering Requirements
Sky Bet rewards new players with a “Bet £10, Get £30 in free bets” welcome package. The free bets are earmarked for the championship and must be wagered at least three times before any withdrawal is possible. In plain English, if you receive a £30 free bet, you’ll need to place bets totalling £90 on eligible games.
Aside from the welcome deal, the championship runs weekly “Boost” promotions – extra odds on
